How to use the Bosnian Virtual Fieldtrip (BVF)

Here are some things you need to know:

1. You are seeing these resources with a "browser". A browser lets you navigate the world wide web (WWW). The most important thing to notice at this point is the "back" and "forward" buttons. The "back" button looks like this:

These are like turning backwards or forwards in a book. You can always go back to the previous page you were at by clicking "back"! You can click as many times as you like to retrace your steps.

2. At the bottom of every page is this bar:

The bar takes you to different places depending on where you click on it. Let's try it now... click on a resource in the bar, then click "back" to come back here. If you get lost at any time, just click on "start" to start over.

3. Sometimes you'll see links with a star after it like this*. These are links which you are expected to follow. They contain information and ideas to help you complete the BVF!!

4. Other links are plain ones like this. This means that they are helpful, but it is not compulsory to follow them.

5. Finally, sometimes you will see a little icon like this . This means that the link takes you outside GMU to... well, it could be a number of places. But all of them are helpful for completing the Fieldtrip. You will just have to explore them!

(When you do, don't forget to click the "back" button--as many times as necessary--to return to your place in the Fieldtrip).

That's it for now! More instructions are available along the way.

Let's continue the Fieldtrip.
