Biography/Research Interests: I am studying lead isotope geochemistry and atmospheric evolution with Dr. Eirik J. Krogstad. My research focuses on dating and characterizing the rise of atmospheric oxygen. Specific attention will be paid to U-Th-Pb behavior as well as rare earth element geochemistry to determine the relative influence of local basement composition, sedimentary mixing, and redistribution of U-Th-Pb during weathering, transport, deposition, and diagenesis. Accepted abstracts for the 2006 GSA Southeastern Section Meeting and Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon) 2006.
